Heather and Justin were the 2013 winners of the Valentine’s Day Giveaway so we met on Saturday morning for their fun photo session on The Drive. First stop was coffee at the Prado Cafe and then to wander around the neighborhood. When we were talking about places to go, I suggested we head to Commercial Drive after Heather told me they loved all things Italian. Since it used to be (and still is) an Italian hub, the Drive was a wonderful place to hang out for a few hours, even though we didn’t get to sample any pasta or pizza at 10 in the morning. But we did see some quirky street art and find the best store front for Valentine’s Day!

Big thanks to Heather and Justin for coming out to The Drive to hang with me and for being such great models! Don’t forget to leave this lovely couple some comments below!

Hope you all enjoy this fun session and I look forward to the Valentine’s Day Giveaway in 2014!

First Family Day

B.C. had it’s first Family Day this year and we had a great day in Point Roberts, WA. We often go down to pick up mail and end up spending some time in one of the cafes or wandering around one of the many beaches or trails. We love it down there. It’s really close to the city and it’s pretty much the perfect place to getaway and just be in nature if you’ve got a little one in tow. Maybe we’ll own our own slice of it one day…….

On a sidenote, I got a remote control for my Canon…..which is all kinds of AWESOME! Now we can take our own family portraits once in a while!

If you live in B.C., hope you had a wonderful holiday!

Happy Monday!

Indie I do :: Vancouver Wedding Show

I popped on over to Indie I Do yesterday to check out some rainy day wedding awesomeness and the event did not disappoint. I have never been a vendor at Indie I Do, nor have I ever even attended it so I wanted to go and say hi. It was wonderful to see some familiar faces of those I’ve worked with in the past and also to make some new connections. I am a very strong believer in making connections with other wedding vendors and fostering good working relationships that are mutually beneficial. Because we’re all in this together!

In my wanderings, I managed to document some of the top-notch people that were showing there including:

Pure Magnolia

Carmen West Creative

Dresses from Frocks Modern Bridesmaid

Feest

-Belvedere-

Heirloom Magazine

Trove Vintage Rentals - A Division of Spruce Collective

Down the Aisle

Le Gateau Bake Shop

Delovely Creative

There were many others that I just didn’t manage to get around to meeting but if you are getting married in 2014, I would highly recommend this show for next year.

Enjoy!

Kerry - so beautiful! I wish I’d known about this before I got married!

Angela Hubbard - gorgeous blog post and photos :)

Owners Frocks - Beautiful photos. You captured the unique style and feel of the Indie I Do show perfectly!

lyndsay - awww lovely photos!!
