The Larsen Family :: Smithers Family Photographer

During my last wedding in Smithers this summer, I had the pleasure of taking my friend and fellow photographer’s family out to the farm for some shots. It was an early Sunday morning and the grass was still dewy and the air had a certain chill to it - and such a beautiful backdrop for some late summer family photos. Kristie specializes in newborn and maternity sessions and she has photographed me not only pregnant but also Fin’s first year cake smash. It’s always a good time photographing friends, especially when their children are involved!

Enjoy!

photographers - The Larsen family is looking fantastic in these photographs. Every little thing whether it’s a mutual bonding between a husband and a wife or between a brother and a sister has beautifully taken by the photographer

Thanksgiving in Oroville, WA

Some snaps from our Thanksgiving weekend in Oroville, WA at my aunt and uncle’s getaway cabin.

The last time we were there was 7 years ago for our honeymoon.

It was so good to get away with my boys, especially after a really crazy and hectic past 4 months
and to visit with some good, good friends as well. We ate well, we drank good wine (at least
I did!) and laughed well. It was very much needed.

There is something almost magical about visiting the cabin on the lake. It brings back so
many good childhood memories. And I love being able to share that with my son.
I hope that one day, we can have our own lakeside cabin someplace and make
our own memories together as a family.

Enjoy your weekend!

Barb - Great, Great photos and great times Rose! Thanks for the fun weekend and the fun memories! Love you guys!

Eric and Lauren :: Semiahmoo Resort, WA Wedding

One of my favourite things is meeting couples that are high school sweethearts. I find that there is something so hopelessly romantic about marrying someone that you have known for a very long time. And there is also something very steadfast and comfortable about it too. Eric and Lauren are one of those couples and their wedding day was a testament to their family and friends that they are in this for the long haul. Held at the incredibly beautiful Semiahmoo Resort outside of Blaine, Washington, Eric and Lauren got married on what was the most perfect late summer day with the ocean and mountains as an essential backdrop. The resort struck an excellent balance between casual and elegant as guests meandered on the pier overlooking the bay with drinks in hand at the reception.

Everything from the punchy pink and green accents to the ocean breeze coming off the water lent to a magical day. But best of all, in the center of it all, was a couple whose love for each other was so clear and true.

And now I share this beautiful day (and last wedding of 2012 for me) with you. Enjoy!
